I want to ensure that the students of tommorow have a much more varied and wide view of the world and the way that they view knowledge. As it stands today, there is to much of an emphasis on retention of knowledge rather than application. Students today lack a mindset to make and do anything of importance. I want to expand their horizons and get them actually thinking of what they are learning about. Say for instance, if they were to be learning about Roman History, I would want them to learn about the Punic Wars, and the strategies implemented in battle, and then come up with strategies based upon what they've learned and try to counter each others strategies. This would activate parts of the minds of students that are sorely being neglected. I want them to be engaged in the learning process rather than being mindless drones.
